Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)
Rhinoplasty, also more commonly known as nose reshaping, deals with the contouring and adjustment of one’s nose to better suit their facial proportions. The nose is a focal point of the face, and its structure plays a crucial role in being able to breathe freely. This procedure is one of the most commonly requested cosmetic surgery procedures in Birmingham. Since it involves the rectification of both bone and cartilage in most cases, performing a nose reshaping surgery requires expert consultation and surgical procedure. Modern rhinoplasty procedures make it possible to contour the bridge, nostrils, tip and every other segment of the nose based on your specific requirements.
At our clinic, we are fully equipped to provide world-class rhinoplasty in Birmingham. From dedicated consultations to specific treatment methods, we provide comprehensive services for clients seeking out professional rhinoplasty. Mr. Jag Jagadeesan caters to a wide range of nose reshaping client requirements, spanning aesthetic as well as medical reasons.
Why Nose Reshaping Is Important
On a broad note, rhinoplasty is performed for two reasons. Most clients request a rhinoplasty for aesthetic reasons, as they are unhappy with the shape of their nose and/or its position in their facial orientation. Surgeries in this case are usually minor, with only a few adjustments required. On the other hand, rhinoplasties can also be requested for medical reasons, when clients are actively facing difficulty breathing in their everyday routine. The nose can also become deformed due to significant trauma and injury, where rhinoplasty can assist in restoring the original shape to the nose. Specific regions of the nose can be readjusted, be it the bridge, tip or nostrils for optimum results.
Our clinic offers comprehensive rhinoplasty in Birmingham for all these cases, catering to specific needs and considerations as well. After due consultation with Mr. Jag Jagadeesan, you will be prescribed rhinoplasty based on your specific case.

- Once under anaesthesia, incisions are made in or around your nostrils, depending on the type of nose correction to be done.
- Cartilage and bone are removed accordingly and reshaped to suit your desired nose profile.
- In rare occasions – If cartilage is to be added to increase volume in your nose, it is usually extracted from a small portion of your ear or elsewhere in your nose.
- Most rhinoplasties are over in around two hours, following which you can proceed to recovery.
